01 / CONTRIBUTION

Contributors help turn isolated material into useful education.

A strong educational contribution is more than an interesting image or unusual diagnosis. It provides enough context to help the audience understand what to observe, how the finding was approached, and why the case or concept matters.

ECHOLOGISTS may feature submitted cases, clinical insights, educational explanations, visual resources, patient perspectives, technical pearls, and other materials that align with the platform’s educational purpose.

Every submission is reviewed for relevance, clarity, privacy, authorization, educational value, and editorial fit.

Clinical case contributor

Submit a de-identified case, cine loop, still image, tracing, measurement, technical challenge, or follow-up finding for educational review.

02 / EXPERTISE

Clinical or educational reviewer

Review a topic, interpretation, workflow, guideline-based concept, or technical explanation within your area of experience.

03 / PERSPECTIVE

Community and patient perspective

Contribute lived experience, advocacy insight, report-literacy needs, or educational priorities that improve how cardiovascular information is explained.

Every contribution must meet basic professional and ethical standards.

Authority to submit

You must own the material or have sufficient permission and authority to provide it to ECHOLOGISTS for educational use.

Complete de-identification

Patient names, dates of birth, identifiers, report headers, facility details, metadata, and other identifying information must be removed.

Accurate context

The clinical or educational background supplied with the material should be accurate, appropriately limited, and not misleading.

Respect for rights

Contributions must not violate patient privacy, confidentiality, copyright, institutional policy, professional obligations, or applicable law.

05 / PATIENT PRIVACY

Removing a name alone is not enough.

Before submitting clinical material, review every image, video frame, report excerpt, filename, overlay, and metadata field for information that could identify a patient, facility, accession, or encounter.

Do not submit identifiable clinical material through the website contact form, ordinary email, public comments, or social media messages.

Contributors remain responsible for confirming that all required patient, institutional, professional, and legal permissions have been obtained.

06 / REVIEW PROCESS

What happens after material is proposed.

Initial review

ECHOLOGISTS reviews the educational value, quality, privacy, authorization, relevance, and completeness of the proposed material.

Clarification

Additional context, measurements, source details, permissions, or replacement files may be requested before a decision is made.

Editorial development

Accepted material may be cropped, annotated, reformatted, captioned, simplified, or combined with educational commentary.

Publication

Timing, format, attribution, collaboration labels, disclosures, and final presentation are determined before publication.

07 / EDITORIAL USE

Contributions may be adapted to improve clarity and accessibility.

Editorial changes

ECHOLOGISTS may crop, resize, annotate, edit, format, translate, de-identify, or combine accepted material with educational text or design.

Publication channels

Accepted material may appear on the ECHOLOGISTS website, social media, educational resources, presentations, compilations, or related promotional material in accordance with the Terms of Use.

08 / CREDIT

Attribution should be accurate, clear, and agreed upon.

Contributors may be credited by name, professional title, organization, social handle, or another agreed identifier.

Attribution may be shortened or omitted where requested, where privacy requires it, where a contribution is incorporated into a broader compilation, or where another arrangement has been agreed.

A contributor credit does not imply employment, partnership, endorsement, ownership of ECHOLOGISTS, or authority to speak on behalf of the platform.

09 / ACCEPTANCE

Submission does not guarantee publication.

ECHOLOGISTS may accept, decline, postpone, request changes to, or remove material based on:

  • educational relevance;
  • image or file quality;
  • insufficient context;
  • privacy or authorization concerns;
  • duplication of existing content;
  • editorial capacity;
  • clinical uncertainty;
  • copyright or legal concerns;
  • timing; or
  • alignment with current platform priorities.

ECHOLOGISTS is not required to publish every submission or provide a detailed reason for declining material.

Contributor recognition will grow with the platform.

This page will also serve as the future home for selected contributor profiles, clinical reviewers, educational partners, and organizations whose work has meaningfully supported ECHOLOGISTS.

Individual profiles will be added only with appropriate permission and may include a short biography, role, contribution area, and relevant links.
